I have experimented with several methods to lower eye pressure and found one particular method that works for me. It is simple to do, but requires one hand to be free to pinch left and right nostrils one after the other. So, while it works, it requires the use of at least one hand. Using this method I am able to reduce my IOP in both eyes by 2-3 points within 30-60 seconds. It appears the longer I do it the longer lasting the effects.
Exhale all air from lungs. Sit down and breathe in slowly through the right nostril. Stop at 50% lung capacity. Hold momentarily (1-2 seconds).
Exhale through left nostril and wait momentarily (1-2 seconds)
Inhale to 50% lung capacity, hold for 1-2 seconds.
Release the air through the right nostril. Hold for 1-2 seconds and go back to step #1.
